
HONOURED CULTURAL WORKER OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
Yashar Huseynli studied philosophy at M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. He has held lecturing, research, and administrative positions at different institutions, including Western Caspian University, the Academy of Public Administration, and the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology, and Law of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Since 2000, he has held leadership positions at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the areas of cultural policy, international cooperation, intangible cultural heritage, and movable cultural property. He is currently the Deputy Head of the Strategic Development and Communication Department at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Yashar Huseynli has been actively involved in the development, preparation, and implementation of “The Concept Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan” and the “Azerbaijani Culture – 2040″ Culture Concept of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the Baku Process and World Forums on Intercultural Dialogue, the “State Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Azerbaijan,” “Peoples Creativity Capitals of Azerbaijan,” and the “Establishment of City (District) Cultural Centers.” He also has experience in international programs and project development for, among others, the Council of Europe, the European Union, ICESCO, and UNESCO.
