Director Österreichische Kulturdokumentation
Founder and director (since 1991) of the Österreichische Kulturdokumentation (internationales archiv für kulturanalysen) – an institute for applied culture research. As cultural scientist, contemporary historian and director she brings many years of professional experience in the fields of Culture and European Cultural Policies, Creative Industries, Urban Cultural Policy and Cultural Diversity. Veronika Ratzenböck is cultural policy consultant to ministries, international organisations (e.g. European Union), City of Vienna and foundations on national and European level. She is a member of various juries, (e.g. in the selection process of the European Capitals of Culture), board member of Manifesta, the European Biennal of Contemporary Art (until 2017) and member of the European Union OMC-Working Group of Experts on Cultural and Creative Industries. She is the editor and (co-)author of numerous publications e.g. The Social Situation of Artists in Austria 2018”; „Remember, Engage… Participate! Europe for Citizens 2014-2020. Mid-term review in Austria“ (2018); “At a Glance. EU Regional Supports for Art and Culture. An online guide for the 2014-2020 support period from the perspective of culture“ (2015).
