Erla Rún Guðmundsdóttir is director of the Creative Industries Research Center (CIRC) in Iceland and a PhD student in Business Administration at the University of Iceland. She holds a master’s degree in cultural economics and management and has been working in research and cultural statistics in Iceland for nearly a decade, including as a cultural statistics specialist at Statistics Iceland. Her research examines labor market structures and working conditions in Iceland’s cultural and creative industries, with particular attention to questions of measurement, classification, policy implications, and the precarious nature of creative work.
