🇵🇱 Updated Cultural Policy Profile for Poland!

A new, updated Short Cultural Policy Profile for Poland is now available on the Compendium website.

This report details a cultural landscape in a state of significant recalibration, moving toward long-term strategy and professional transparency.

Key developments in Armenia’s cultural policy:

Strategy for Culture 2050: The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage is prioritising the development of a long-term strategic framework to ensure institutional sustainability and sector-wide coordination.
Governance “Reset” and Transparency: Following the 2023 elections, there is a major shift toward restoring professional standards through increased use of open calls for leadership positions and more transparent grant-making processes.
Social Security for Artists: New legislative work is focused on creating systemic solutions for the social and health insurance of professional artists, backed by the comprehensive “Policzone i Policzeni 2024” study.
Modernised Memory Policy: The current approach to “remembrance” has expanded beyond traditional heritage protection to include dialogue, de-polarisation, and the histories of minorities and local communities.
Systemic Support for Creative Industries: New specialised programmes (e.g., via the Institute of Creative Industries) are providing targeted funding for video games, fashion, and design, moving beyond traditional artistic fields.
Support for Ukraine: Poland continues to lead in cultural solidarity by coordinating the “Cultural Assistance Centre for Ukraine” to safeguard heritage and support displaced cultural professionals.
