Below you can see a few highlights of the cultural policy developments in Switzerland:
- Adequate compensation of cultural workers is among the priorities in the work programme of the National Cultural Dialogue 2021-2024 and the Culture Dispatch 2025-2028, as well as flexible funding models
- In 2022, a revision of the Film Act was approved which will lead to increased investment by streaming providers in filmmaking in Switzerland in the coming years
- In 2022, the Federal Office of Culture launched grants to support the protection of movable cultural property in Ukraine and The City of Zurich donated to cultural organisations that support cultural workers who have fled Ukraine
- The themes of the Cultural Dispatch 2025 to 2028 are Culture and Digital Transformation; Culture and Sustainable Development; Cultural Heritage as Living Memory; Updating the Cultural Funding System; Culture as a World of Work; and Governance in the Cultural Sector
