The Ministry of Culture and Media was again re-established as an independent ministry in 2022 following heavy criticism.

A Commission has been formed to undertake a professional review in the field of conservation, museum, library, and archive activities.

Despite the Law on Culture stating that 2.5 percent of the state budget should be allocated to culture, the draft budgets for 2021 and 2022 allocation were less than 1%.

The National Programme (Strategy) for Culture 2022-2027 is in the process of development.
