Olga Kolokytha is Senior Scientist and Academic Director of the MA (CE) Music Management and the MA (CE) Music Business and Culture at the Centre for Applied Music Research at the University for Continuing Education Krems. She is currently also Senior Research Fellow at the University of Vienna and has been the lead researcher for the University at the Horizon2020 project CICERONE researching cultural and creative industries in Europe (project leaders: University of Amsterdam). She holds a PhD in Cultural Institutions Studies (Kulturbetriebslehre) awarded with Distinction by the University of Music and the Performing Arts Vienna; an MA in Arts Management (City University London); and a BA in Musicology and Music Education (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). She is an elected member of the Board of the Research Network Sociology of the Arts of the European Sociological Association, member of the European Expert Network on Culture (led by Panteia on behalf of the European Commission), member of the editorial board of City, Culture and Society, and the Policy and Reviews Editor of Cultural Trends.
