Nanna Kann-Rasmussen

Associate professor

Nanna Kann-Rasmussen is an associate professor in Cultural Policy and Library Development at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Information Studies. Since 2017, she is Head of Centre for Cultural Policy Studies, which is a research centre based in the University of Copenhagen. She is also the editor in chief of the journal NTIK: Nordic Journal of Information Science and Cultural mediation. Her research focuses on cultural institutions and their relation to society. She is particularly interested in the legitimation work in cultural organizations and the relations between cultural policy and cultural leadership.

Astrid Elisabeth Jessen

Astrid Elisabeth Jessen is a cultural policy researcher and analyst specializing in Danish cultural policy-making, governance structures, and stakeholder relations. She has experience working across academic research, cultural policy administration, and sector analysis, with a strong focus on translating national cultural policy developments into comparative Nordic and European perspectives.

Astrid is currently a PhD Fellow at the University of Copenhagen, where she is conducting a research project that maps how contemporary cultural policy-making is shaped through formal and informal negotiations between the state and cultural stakeholders. Astrid has previously worked for the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces, the Danish Arts Foundation, the Danish Institute for Cultural Policy Analysis, University of Washington, the Danish Performing Arts Association, and Danish Culture Alliance. She is also a member of the board of directors at Nordic Theatre Laboratory. She is associated with the Section for Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
