Yashar Huseynli

Yashar Huseynli studied Philosophy at the Moscow State University and Philosophy and Sociology at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. He worked as a rector assistant and a lecturer of humanitarian disciplines at the Western University, lecturer of philosophy and logic at the State Administration Academy, and Deputy Head of Ethics and Aesthetics Department at the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Huseynli was also senior expert and Deputy Head of the Cultural Policy Department, Head of Work with International Organizations and Program Division, Head of Intangible Cultural Heritage Division, Head of Cultural Properties Supervision and Registers Division in the Ministry of Culture. He has experience in different international programs and project development like: The Kyiv Initiative for democratic development through culture, STAGE Project, Alexander Dumas in Caucasus, Creating Cultural Capitals, European Heritage Days (all Council of Europe), TWINNING project (European Union), Cultural Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue, National Action Plans for the Safeguarding of the Azerbaijan Intangible Cultural Heritage (all UNESCO), Islamic Cultural Capitals (ISESCO), Cultural Policy Observatory "Europe-Caucasus-Asia" (GUAM), CUPOLA'S Legends of Commonwealth (CIS), and others.

At a national level, Huseynli was responsible for the preparation of “The Culture Concept of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “The State Register of the Azerbaijan Intangible Cultural Heritage Samples”, “The Program of Peoples Creativity Capitals”, “The Project of Creating Cities (districts) Cultural Centers”, “The Permanent State Portal of Museum Exhibits”, etc. He is also the author of several geo-cultural, sociological, political ethics and philosophical publications.
