5.1.3 Allocation of public funds

The allocation of public funds to arts and culture is not regulated by law in Sweden. Public funds are instead determined on a yearly basis by the parliament when deciding on the national budget. The only major exception to this rule is Public Service broadcasting, which is funded by TV licence fees regulated in law.
