Indicators presented in the table were selected from the 2011 OECD PPP Benchmark Data on price levels for expenditure at average OECD prices (Table 1.11) for European countries by the ERICarts Institute. This data is based on the results of a joint survey carried out by Eurostat and the CIS countries.
*)    PPP = Purchasing Power Parities. PPP currency conversion rates convert to a common currency and eliminate the
       differences in price levels   between countries in the process of conversion.
