Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona-Spain). His main lines of research deal with contemporary issues of liberal democracy in contexts of diversity, especially the relationship between democracy, citizenship and immigration. He is director of GRITIM-UPF (Interdisciplinary Research Group on Immigration, founded in 2009) and the Master Programme on immigration management at UPF. He is currently working on different lines of research related to Diversity and cities: the link between two types of cultural pluralisms: immigration and minority nations, the political theory of diversity, culyural policies, intercultural approach. He is Partner of European projects and direct several national and international research He is a regular contributor to media and policy debates, and serves on a number of commissions and government committees.
