Head of the Department of Expert and Analytical Resources on Cultural Policy, Culture and Arts Studies
Tatiana S. Fedorova graduated from the Moscow State University, History Faculty and from 1985 to 2013 she has been working at the Russian Institute for Cultural Research. Since 2013 she is Head of the Department of Expert and Analytical Resources on Cultural Policy, Culture and Arts Studies at the InformKultura Research and Information Centre of the Russian State Library. In 1994-1996 she took part in the exercise to compile the National Report on Cultural Policy of the Russian Federation and assisted the related work of the panel of European experts. She has produced reference materials including bibliographies, reviews and data banks on cultural policies and governance in Russia and has contributed the Russian profile to the ‘Handbook of Cultural Affairs in Europe' (ed. in 1995, 2000).
She has experience in working for governmental structures and cultural institutions (libraries, information centres), book editing (e.g. "Cultural heritage and cultural policy of Russia in the 1990es" by E.Selezneva published in Russian in 2003), translations into Russian of texts related to cultural research.
Her principal interest is concerned with monitoring the institutional structures within the cultural sector and related policies in Russia.
