Hristina Mikic works as executive director for the research institute Creative Economy Group and at the Modern Business School and a visiting lecturer at the UNESCO Department for Cultural Policy and Management, University of Arts in Belgrade. Before, she worked as lecturer for Higher Business School in Novi Sad, financial adviser the Arts Council of Switzerland Pro Helvetia at the Swiss Embassy in Belgrade and as analyst of media economics for the Media Department of the Serbian Ministry of Culture. She holds a Bachelor and Master in Economics of the University of Belgrade where she specialized in the field of financing culture, economics of creative industries and comparative analysis. At the moment she is PhD candidate at the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade (cultural economics). Hristina Mikic is member of the Association of Cultural Economists International. Since 2010 she is a member of the Task Force for Creative industries Development at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia and she was Task Force leader for Cultural Development Strategy at the Ministry of Culture of Serbia (2010-2012).  She published 6 books, several articles and papers in journals. She contributed papers to many international conferences in the field of media, creative industries and cultural policy, cultural economics and was involved different international  research projects such as   “Entrepreneurship Serbia” – UNDP; “UK SEE Forum” - British Council; "Severance to job" UNDP; "Feasibility Study for Central Institute for Conservation and Restoration in Serbia"-The Ministry of foreign affairs of Italy;  “Towards Art Market in West Balkan" (2012, GCE); "Measuring economic contribution of cultural industries" UNESCO-Institute for statistics, Montreal, "Creative Serbia" (GCE, 2011-2015).
