3.4.4 Direct professional co-operation

A number of cultural organisations and festivals such as the National Cultural Institutions, the Dublin Theatre Festival, the Galway Arts Festival, the International Dance Festival and many others, habitually engage in international co-operation through co-productions or by providing a platform for international arts events. The Gabriel Metsu exhibition in the National Gallery of Ireland (2010) was put together in association with, the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, while the Abbey theatre jointly with the British National Theatre presented a production of Seán O' Casey's Juno and the Paycock (2011 and 2012).
