The comparative data and information collected in this section of the website is part of a collective effort by the Compendium editors and experts to advance the linkages between cultural policy making and comparative research. The tables have been organised under 4 thematic categories: public bodies & priorities, legislation, funding and participation.
The information contained in the "COMPENDIUM TABLES" is mainly derived from individual country profiles. References to the corresponding chapter in the country profiles are indicated. In some cases, external sources have been used to complement the information available.
Some of the tables provide users with a longitudinal perspective on changing policy priorities, public cultural expenditure and legislation in the cultural field. Some of these documents are available for "DOWNLOAD".
"EXTERNAL LINKS" to relevant comparative studies have been added.
Users can also make their own comparisons by using the cross-country navigation bar in the main section of the website to see how particular cultural policy issues are addressed in different countries.
